Pendle MP, Andrew Stephenson, has welcomed the reinstatement of a direct bus service between Earby and Skipton. Earby has been without a direct Skipton service for approximately 2 years following changes to the timetable by Transdev.
Andrew is calling for more Play Streets to be introduced across Pendle. Play streets are quiet residential streets that are temporarily closed to through traffic so that local children can have the space to themselves for a few hours each week.

This Thank a Teacher Day, Wednesday 19 June, Andrew Stephenson MP has paid tribute to teachers across Pendle, whose hard work means that more children are gaining the education they need to get on in life.
This week, the Government confirmed its commitment to achieve ‘net zero’ carbon emissions by 2050 – the first major country to do so. This is an ambitious target and achieving it won’t be easy. However, the UK can and must take this opportunity to lead.
