In every local election since Labour introduced postal votes on demand in 2002 there have been suspicions of electoral fraud in Pendle. Just last year, every major political party reported allegations of ‘personation’ – where someone tries to vote by pretending to be someone else.
This week is Mental Health Awareness week – a good time to reflect on the sea-change in attitudes towards poor mental health in recent years, whilst recognising there’s a long way still to go in ensuring everyone who needs support or treatment receives the right kind of help.
Andrew has welcomed the announcement that Whyte & Ivory in Pendle has received an award for International Trade, as part of more than 200 businesses having been honoured with a prestigious Queen’s Award for Enterprise.
