Andrew has welcomed the announcement that Whyte & Ivory in Pendle has received an award for International Trade, as part of more than 200 businesses having been honoured with a prestigious Queen’s Award for Enterprise.
The new tax year means lots of work for businesses and those who are self-employed, with forms to fill and accounts to reconcile. It’s also when new tax policies kick in and this year there’s several changes that will help the majority of people.
222,000 people in the North West working on the National Living Wage received a 5% pay rise today, worth an extra £690 over the course of the year, in the biggest pay rise for low paid workers in 20 years.
