MP CALLS FOR MORE PLAY STREETS

Andrew is calling for more Play Streets to be introduced across Pendle. Play streets are quiet residential streets that are temporarily closed to through traffic so that local children can have the space to themselves for a few hours each week.

This Thank a Teacher Day, Wednesday 19 June, Andrew Stephenson MP has paid tribute to teachers across Pendle, whose hard work means that more children are gaining the education they need to get on in life.

PENDLE MP BACKS SCAM AWARENESS CAMPAIGN

Andrew has today backed the Citizen’s Advice Scam Awareness Campaign. The Campaign, which launched today and runs until 23 June aims to make sure people ‘stop, report, talk’ if they think they’re being targeted by scams or fraud.

ANDREW WELCOMES £1M FLOOD WORK IN EARBY

Andrew has welcomed the completion of a £1m flood alleviation scheme in Earby.

The work undertaken by the Environment Agency to the Victoria Clough Culvert will provide additional protection to 91 homes and approximately 17 businesses within Earby.
